I got this recipe off of 2kidsandtiredcooks.blogspot.com it was really yummy. We just boiled some pasta and had the chicken with that.
4 chicken breasts
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
2 cups marinara sauce
1/3 cup chopped tomatoes
1 1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
1.Place all ingredients except cheese into your slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
2. Sprinkle with cheese before serving.
I do something really similar, where I get like 2-3 frozen chicken breasts, put 'em in the bottom of a casserole dish, the cover with spaghetti sauce, usually adding (at the least) diced tomatoes, and sometimes sauteed onions, peppers, celery, carrots, squash, whatever veggies I have lying around. Season with Italian seasoning, or fresh basil when we have it. I sprinkle with some mozzarella cheese, and then cover and cook for an hour or more. It's so easy to throw together, and the chicken is always so tender. I'll have to try this on days I want to throw it together several hours before dinner, instead of just an hour or two!

I'm sorry I haven't commented before now! I LOVE this recipe. LOVE it! It is deceptively simple, but the flavor is awesome. I always use Kraft's fat free zesty Italian dressing and the sauce is so good. Instead of fresh tomatoes, I just throw in a can of diced tomatoes. This is honestly one of my top 10 favorite recipes ever. Thank you sooo much for sharing!
